How And When To Apply For Financial Aid for Returning StudentsEach year we examine our application procedures to see how we can process your paperwork in a more timely and efficient manner. Claremont McKenna College in partnership with the College Board, utilizes advancing technology to streamline the financial aid process. We ask that you read the following instructions very carefully as you begin the financial aid renewal application process. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to be completed by all students in order to apply for financial aid. (School Code: 001170). You are also required to complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE application and forward it to the College Board by March 2. (School code: 4054). All students are required to submit signed copies of student and parent 2009 Federal Income Tax returns (including all schedules, 1099s, and W-2 forms) directly to the College Board's document imaging service (IDOC) by May 1, 2010. CMC utilizes a state-of-the-art scanning service that will allow us to retrieve your information electronically from the College Board. We assure you that your privacy is completely protected through this process. You will receive additional instructions electronically from the College Board once your application is submitted. **All financial aid applicants must complete their files by the published deadline dates. If you do not complete the necessary applications and provide all requested documents in a timely manner, we cannot guarantee the availability of college funds. Returning students completing their financial aid files after May 1, 2010 may be subject to penalty assessments.**
